Veteran rock band Ziggy announced yesterday that they are to play a joint concert in Seoul with up-and-coming Korean band Buzz. The concert will be held at Hanyung University on August 29, about a week before the band’s quadruple greatest hits album “Vicissitudes of Fortune” goes on sale.
• Popular actress Nakama Yukie (photo, 24) paid her first visit to Korea to film scenes for her her ongoing Fuji TV drama series “Tokyo Wankei” (Tokyo Bay Scene). She plays a Japanese-born Korean who visits the country with her Japanese boyfriend to find her roots. Filming of the series is already approaching the finale. Japanese dramas were allowed to be broadcast on cable channels in Korea for the first time from January. Nakama stars in two of the most popular, “Gokusen” and “Trick.”
